Scouts BSA in Madrid: Boys & Girls

Scouts BSA is a venerable program designed to foster self-reliance, ethical decision-making, and leadership skills in youth through outdoor adventures and community activities. The initiative equips young members with survival techniques, bolsters their self-confidence, and instills a strong ethical compass through activities that they plan and execute themselves. Originally there were only boys, but BSA is open to girls since 2019.

Engaging Activities in Scouts BSA

In Scouts BSA, individuals explore interests and develop skills through outdoor activities like hiking, camping, canoeing, etc. Each adventure is a step towards personal growth and advancement within the Scouts, including earning merit badges and working towards the Eagle Scout rank.

Guiding Youth to Become Exceptional Adults

Scouts Meeting Schedule

Our Scouts usually meet twice a month during the school year plus attend one or two weeks of summer camp. We also arrange additional activities ranging from community service projects to campouts and other scouting-related activities, offering Scouts a balanced and diverse experience. We meet at ASM.

Scouts Leadership

Scouts BSA is uniquely youth-led, with elected youth members taking charge of the troop’s activities under the guidance of adult leaders. This structure promotes leadership and responsibility among Scouts, distinguishing it from other scouting programs. Scouts are overseen by adult leaders who are parents volunteering their time for this role.

Scouts values

Scout values, rooted in the Scout Oath and Law, emphasize honesty, kindness, and respect. Through community service and leadership roles, Scouts commit to being trustworthy, loyal, and brave, preparing them to make ethical choices and contribute positively to society. These principles guide Scouts to become responsible, caring adults.

In 2018, my son Adrián García joined scouts as a Webelo and two years later his brother Oliver followed as Tiger. Since them, SCOUT team has helped them to develop not only knowledge but also interpersonal relationship. We have a very well integrated team of teachers, parents and most important, SCOUTS, who are a diversity of our world countries, they get along well and have the feeling and attitude that they are going to be of usefulness for society. All I can say about SCOUTS is GRATITUDE and most special to the ones who make this possible with constant and uninterested dedication. All the best for BSA!!

Hello, I am a Scout since 2016. I started with Cub scouts when I was 6, and afterwards joined the Boy scouts. The group and I have lived unforgettable moments such as when we went to Switzerland for a whole week in Summer2023. I encourage everybody who's in to meeting new people, hiking, camping and much more things!

Joining the Cub Scouts and later the Boy Scouts of America has been a great experience for my son Mateo. Over the past 5 years, he has had the opportunity to learn valuable skills, make new friends, and participate in exciting outdoor adventures. The program has helped him develop leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, all while having fun and creating lasting memories. We are grateful for the positive impact that scouting has had on Mateo's life and highly recommend it to other families.

What continues to pleasantly surprise me most, five years after my son Diego joined the Cub Scouts and later passed to Boy Scouts, is the enthusiasm of the entire group and the selfless support of all those who have been and continue being part of this group. Not only do I think that Diego is getting practical knowledges, but I am convinced that concepts such as being reliable, useful, courteous, and kind have gone through him, in addition to taking great experiences and friendships with him throughout his life.
